Who needs visa
Whether you need a visa to travel to Brazil depends on your nationality. Please check the most up-to-date information on the official Brazilian government website.
Special cases
If you are a U.S., Canadian or Australian Citizen, you must apply for an Electronic Visitor Visa (e-Visa) online. You will need:
- Valid Passport
- Visa application form (available at the official portal)
- Passport-style photo (2” x 2”, white background) – please send a clear picture since this is the most common reason for delays in the process
- E-visa fee payment
Visit the official website for most up-to-date information: Electronic Visitor Visa (e-Visa).
Visa Exemptions
You do not need a visa to enter Brazil (and stay up to 90 days) if you are a citizen of:
- Mercosur member countries (only if departing from Mercosur countries),
- European Union,
- UK,
- Japan,
- South Africa,
- and others.
Please keep in mind that visa policies can change. Always confirm the latest information on official sources such as Entry Visas to Brazil.
