HOW TO GO TO MARESIAS

From Guarulhos Airport
You can go to Maresias either by taxi or by bus. After leaving customs you will find some taxi stands where you can ask for a taxi. They all charge a fixed price. To Maresias it costs around R$ 500. Credit card payments are done at the stand and cash payments to the driver. If you go by bus you must exit the airport building and look for the bus ticket office which is outside the airport building halfway between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. The ticket is sold at a counter near the car-rental agencies near the sidewalk. The bus company is PASSARO MARRON and the bus fare is R$ 32.60. The bus departure times are: 7:15  12:15  19:15  22:15. The trip takes about four hours depending on traffic conditions. If you do not want to wait too long at the airport you can go to the Tiete Bus Station (see below). To go to the Tiete Bus Station you have to buy a ticket from AIRPORT BUS SERVICE in the same ticket office. The bus fare is R$ 36.50 and the timetable can be found here (http://www.airportbusservice.com.br/br/linhas).

From Tiete Bus Station
You must find the PASSARO MARRON counter in the Tiete Bus Station. The bus fare is R$ 45.08 and the departure times are: 06:30 11:30 15:00 18:30 21:30. The trip takes about five hours depending on traffic conditions. Tickets can also be bought at (http://www.passaromarron.com.br/).

Arriving in Maresias
Maresias is NOT the final stop so you must pay attention where you get off. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel at Rua Francisco Loup, 1109 – Maresias
You may ask the driver to stop there or to warn you when the bus is near the hotel.

Returning from Maresias
You can ask for directions at the hotel desk to find the nearby ticket office or buy the return ticket to São Paulo through the internet (http://www.passaromarron.com.br/).
